Complex Investigations and Report Writing
After multiple years of a highly successful mini track, we are transitioning Complex Investigations and Report Writing to a full track for the 2026 Gehring Academy. The track will split focus between conducting investigations and writing investigation reports. Key concepts including but not limited to:
- allegation assessment
- investigation planning
- partnerships
- report structure,
- and distribution.
Participants will be able to engage and practice as we go along using a variety of activities, templates, and case studies. While the track will be a generalist design, there will be portions that focus specifically on student organizations (including sororities and fraternities) and Title IX/sexual misconduct. This track is appropriate for personnel working with report intake, investigation, and report-writing processes, as well as those who supervise individuals with these responsibilities.
