Title VI & First Amendment
The Title VI and First Amendment track is designed to equip student conduct professionals and K-12/college administrators with the knowledge and skill necessary to tackle some of the biggest issues faced by educators. This track includes a holistic view of the First Amendment and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, examining the constitutional and regulatory frameworks that make up these delicate and complex areas of law. Participants will explore how the evolving legal landscape and the shift in student demographics requires our administrators and student conduct professionals to be well-equipped to lead with compliance, confidence, clarity, and care.
This track is designed for K-12 and college/university professionals at all levels – whether new to the field of student conduct or a seasoned compliance pro – who seek to deepen their understanding of all the protections afforded under the First Amendment and expand their capacity to manage Title VI concerns within student conduct and adjacent contexts.
