Gehring Academy Chair & Assistant Chair
Dr. Stephanie Wright (Gehring Academy Chair) is a belonging advocate who believes higher education is heart work. She has been a committed Student Affairs practitioner for more than 20 years. Her work focuses on policy development, assessment, student conduct, student organization misconduct, and addressing barriers to belonging.
Dr. Wright’s professional purpose is to address systemic issues within institutional policies, practices, and procedures to create a culture of accountability that is educational and fair. She does this by assisting clients with: Navigating the complexities of organization misconduct; understanding barriers to belonging in campus communities created by policy; Restoring community standards to foster equitable administration of conduct practices; and, Creating physically and psychologically safe communities.
- Stephanie is a 2003 graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey and a 2007 graduate of Montclair State University (Masters in Administration and Supervision). In 2014, she earned her Masters in Journalism from Kent State University. She completed her doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Stockton University in 2022.
Christina Parle (Gehring Academy Assistant Chair) (she/they) – Christina’s work is where high-level strategy meets human connection. An educator and thought leader at heart, Christina specializes in the “how” of designing systems, policies, and curricula that actualize a culture of belonging. With over a decade of experience in student support and accountability, her expertise lies at the intersection of conflict resolution and effective communication. Christina helps organizations build environments that don’t just talk about accountability but embody it. When CP isn’t unlearning, disrupting, and evolving, she can be found eating sunflower seeds and drinking her matcha, while catching up on her favorite tv shows. CP is a loyal Kansas Citian, Broadway show enthusiast, and a dog mom to Nugget.
