This year’s Gehring Academy takes returns to the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center (RenCen) in beautiful downtown Detroit. Soaring 70 stories above the Detroit River, the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center is in the heart of downtown on the riverfront. The hotel is located within the RenCen complex, which features seven interconnected buildings with apparel and gift shops, banks and restaurants, beverages, and even a movie theater. Situated downtown along the award-winning International RiverWalk, the hotel is near the Huntington Place, Ford Field, Little Caesars Arena, Comerica Park, and other attractions.

As of June 24, 2024, both ASCA hotel blocks have reached capacity. In an effort to assist those still in need of lodging during the Academy, we encourage utilization of the following sites:

• Detroit People Mover – this FREE shuttle operates on a nonstop loop during normal business hours (and weekends). The RC (Renaissance Center) stop is where the Academy will take place. Use this site to determine the distance between a hotel and the shuttle.
